This past Monday, I was able to scratch a musical heavy-hitter off of my concert bucket list. Anderson.Paak (& The Free Nationals) finally came back to Atlanta. The last time he swung by, it was ONE Musicfest 2016. At the time, he was escalating in the Hip-Hop and R&B realm and pressing through a Georgia-scorched summer concert series to make himself known. I sadly missed that concert, but two years and a Grammy award later - he returned.

I'm a huge fan of AP. So much of a fan, that I didn't care if anyone could accompany me or not. As soon as those tickets were up for grabs, I was in there, all by myself :)

The concert was at the Coca-Cola Roxy. It's tucked away inside of The Battery Atlanta, which is practically in my back yard. As I walked towards the theater, I couldn't believe that I had been missing out on so many great restaurants, shops, and Braves game fun - but I'll do better in the near future.

The Roxy was gorgeous, it's definitely one of the best-looking venues in the city. I decided to buy a ticket in the balcony since General Admission is so nerve-wracking when you're a short girl. I made the right decision, my view was perfect.

Oh, and the show was crazy amazing! The band was live, he sang so soulfully, my mans even crowd surfed. He gave us all he had to give from start to finish and his energy was enamoring. Although I purchased a seat, I really didn't need it at the end of the day - that's what I call a good show.

Anderson. Paak is a hitmaker, the tour is to promote the Oxnard album - but he had sooo many bangers from Venice, Malibu and of course, Yes Lawd! that had us all singing and dancing our hearts out.

You the man, AP. What more can I say but: YES LAWD!

Thanks for reading ✌
